The choice I would make
The Koda 2 Pro gets my preference if you have the space and genuinely want to go beyond 35 cm. I would choose the Arc XL when available width matters more than maximum pizza diameter. Both require a stable outdoor installation and someone watching the flame.
This advice uses their specifications and the attributed observations in our individual guides. This documentary comparison preserves the origin of each figure. The table separates purchase constraints, not the taste of the pizzas.
A €200.99 difference, with both baskets still to complete

The sources are the Ooni Koda 2 Pro and Gozney Arc XL product pages. Ooni’s lower price still requires the correct gas connection to be added. Brand alone is not enough to choose it: pressure and supplied version must match the oven and its manufacturer’s instructions.
Our calculation: roughly one third more chassis rectangle for the Koda
Multiplying the published horizontal dimensions gives 0.445 m² for the Koda 2 Pro and 0.333 m² for the Arc XL, rounded. The calculation is (68.2 × 65.2) / (53 × 62.9) − 1: 33.4% more for the Koda.
This describes the chassis rectangle, not the stone area or a safe installation footprint. Clearances, hose, cylinder and peel movement must be added. The manuals take priority: fitting the rectangle on a table does not make that table suitable.
On a narrow terrace, that distinction matters more than a maximum-temperature claim. The Koda mainly asks for more width; the Arc XL remains deep and heavy too. Neither would be my choice for carrying from a cupboard to the table before every meal.
Large pizza or room around the dough?
Our Koda 2 Pro guide explains the U-shaped burner and large stone. I would shortlist it for 35–45 cm pizzas and someone willing to manage the turns. Flames on several sides do not mean you can leave it unattended.
In our Arc XL guide, the preference for 30–35 cm pizzas comes from third-party observations of handling. It is a desired working margin, not a limit measured by Four à Nu. If you intend to bake at 40 cm every time, look closely at those qualifications before paying for the XL size.
For six guests, maximum diameter does not determine the pace: shaping, topping, baking and sharing can be organised in different ways. The evidence does not establish a throughput winner between these ovens.
Before ordering
I would work through the full budget before adding a stand or bundle. Count the gas connection, cylinder, suitable peel, storage and accessories you will actually use. A thick stone and a display replace neither those tools nor a compliant location.
Pick the Koda 2 Pro if its large format will be used and its width fits with the required clearances. Choose the Arc XL if you accept the extra cost for a narrower body and pizzas usually below maximum size. If both installations seem excessive, return to the oven guide: reducing size is more useful than selecting the smaller of two oversized appliances.
