The short answer

If the oven will almost always stay at home, begin with the Arc Lite or Arc. The Arc Lite costs less and weighs 12 kg; the Arc gives more room to turn a 30 to 32 cm pizza without moving up to the Arc XL footprint.

If you will genuinely load the oven into a car, the Tread is the most coherent. The Roccbox can also be carried, but its nearly 20 kg make it more of a terrace oven that can travel than a true travel companion.

The Dome (Gen 2) models change category. At 62 and 73 kg, they are outdoor kitchen elements. They make sense for wood, charcoal, gas and complete meals. For four pizzas on a Saturday evening, their size alone is hard to justify.

The seven models at a glance

The French Gozney range contained seven standalone ovens on 24 August 2026. Bundles, stands and colours are not additional models.

Prices are dated reference points, not promises. A Roccbox promotion can end. A suitable stand, cover, peels and infrared thermometer can also move the final budget substantially.

Below €500, choose the kind of mobility you need

The Arc Lite is the simple choice for a garden table. It is the lightest oven in the range, costs €399.99 and its 30 cm format is enough for individual pizzas. Our comparison with the Tread mainly shows that its saving is paid for in transport details and recovery between two pizzas.

The Tread adds upper grips, a hose that is easier to store and an ecosystem designed to leave home. It only becomes interesting if those journeys genuinely happen. Otherwise, the €100 is better kept for a peel or dough boxes.

The Roccbox plays a different card. Its legs fold, the gas burner and one peel are stated to be in the box, and an optional wood burner exists. But “portable” does not mean light: nearly 20 kg travels well from garage to terrace and less well along a trail.

Arc or Arc XL: start from your usual pizza

The Arc accepts up to 35 cm and weighs 21.5 kg. For 30 to 32 cm pizzas, it already offers comfortable margin without taking over the table. This is the model we would examine first for a stable outdoor gas installation.

The Arc XL adds 5 cm of stated diameter, 5 kg and €200. Its purpose is not to bake automatically better. It gives more room to turn and move a pizza away from the flame. Our Arc XL article explains why the maximum 40 cm size is also the most demanding to handle.

Dome or Dome XL: buy a kitchen, not just an oven

The Dome (Gen 2) is already very large. It states one 40 cm pizza or two 25 cm pizzas, three fuels, a 30 mm floor and displays for air and floor temperatures. At 62 kg, its position must be planned before delivery.

The Dome XL adds €500, 11 kg and 12 cm of width. That expense becomes coherent if you often cook several preparations or several people work together. One person stretching, topping, launching and turning three pizzas does not magically triple their throughput.

Our shortcut before taking out the bank card

  • Arc Lite: small budget, oven kept at home.
  • Tread: frequent journeys and genuine mobile cooking.
  • Roccbox: compact terrace, included equipment and a possible desire for wood.
  • Arc: 30 to 32 cm pizzas, gas and a stable installation.
  • Arc XL: more room around large pizzas.
  • Dome (Gen 2): versatile outdoor kitchen without targeting the largest format.
  • Dome XL (Gen 2): large tables and several cooks, with suitable space and budget.

Measure the table, decide who will carry the box and list the accessories before buying. These three actions eliminate more poor choices than a maximum temperature promise.
